What is RelevantKnowledge?
RelevantKnowledge is an online market research community consisting of over 2 million members worldwide, which provides insight into how its members interact with the Internet. In exchange for agreement to have their Internet behavior monitored, computer users who join RelevantKnowledge are offered various value propositions, including the ability to download screensavers or other software offerings, entry into sweepstakes, and a host of other benefits. Periodically, members are also invited to complete online surveys, which gauge their attitudes and interests on a wide variety of topics.

What is the purpose of RelevantKnowledge?
The goal of RelevantKnowledge is to develop a better understanding of the trends and patterns affecting the Internet. Just as television uses ratings to determine which programs are the highest rated and most watched, RelevantKnowledge uses the knowledge of its members’ Internet habits to determine the popularity and importance of various web sites. Internet companies can then use this market research to make informed decisions regarding their online marketing strategies. RelevantKnowledge also strives to provide its members with valuable software offerings that can safely be downloaded and enjoyed.

What are the eligibility requirements to join RelevantKnowledge?
Be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into a binding agreement.
Review the membership agreement and consent to participate in the RelevantKnowledge community.
Own or control any computer that you allow to be configured for participation in RelevantKnowledge.
Be the parent or legal guardian of anyone under 18 having access to such computer.
You agree to inform those individuals with access to the computer on which the software is being installed that you have agreed to join RelevantKnowledge, and obtain explicit consent from those individuals to be a part of the panel and to be subject to the panel membership agreement.
To the extent that you are installing the software at work, you have the permission from your employer to install the software onto your workstation.
What if my information, including my email address, changes?
Periodically, the RelevantKnowledge software may send members an email asking them to provide their contact or demographic information. If your email address changes, please notify us of this change using our support form.

By joining RelevantKnowledge, members are given the opportunity participate in periodic surveys for which they qualify, and enter into sweepstakes or receive other rewards.

Please Note: RelevantKnowledge’s commitment to quality customer service is a high priority. RelevantKnowledge will make every commercially viable effort to respond to your questions or comments within the same business day. If a personalized response to a detailed question is needed, RelevantKnowledge will strive to respond to your questions or comments within 48 hours.

How can I remove RelevantKnowledge from my computer?
We appreciate your participation in RelevantKnowledge. However, if you decide you no longer wish to participate in RelevantKnowledge simply follow these instructions.
1. Go to your Start menu in the lower left hand corner of computer screen.
2. In the menu select Settings then Control Panel (Select "Control Panel" only for Vista & Windows 7).
3. Under the Control Panel menu, find and select the icon for “Add/Remove Programs” (or “Programs and Features” in Vista and “Programs” in Windows 7).
4. Locate RelevantKnowledge from the auto populated list of software currently installed on your computer. Highlight RelevantKnowledge and then hit Remove (or “uninstall” in Vista and Windows 7).
5. A prompt will ask you to confirm you want to remove RelevantKnowledge.

How long do I have to participate?
Participation in RelevantKnowledge’s community is continuous. Should you ever decide to stop participating, you may do so at any time. Simply follow our uninstall instructions to cancel your community participation.

Will I start getting unwanted SPAM and Pop-ups if I join RelevantKnowledge?
No. RelevantKnowledge will not sell your personal information to other companies and will not give any other companies permission to market to you. The only e-mail and pop-ups you will receive once joining RelevantKnowledge will be invitations for surveys and occasional member services notices. Are non-US residents eligible for surveys and cash prizes?
Under most circumstances, US and Canadian residents are eligible to receive cash, prizes and sweepstakes entries. Sponsored software offerings are available for download by RelevantKnowledge panelists throughout the world subject to the terms and conditions offered with each piece of software. While participation in RelevantKnowledge may be available on the Internet to international users, the program is and remains a U.S. offering and all use of the information collected is and shall remain subject to U.S. law and practice. International users must take this into account and should consult their local laws and independently determine whether participation is desired given these facts.

You can check to see if you are registered for RelevantKnowledge by looking in the systray at the bottom right hand corner of your desktop for the RelevantKnowledge icon

How can I prevent my survey invitations from being falsely classified as SPAM?
To ensure you receive all the survey invitations you qualify for please whitelist our email address by adding bhowell@relevantknowledge.com to your address book.

RelevantKnowledge is not a virus, spyware; it is not malicious or harmful to your computer. RelevantKnowledge is a permission-based program design to collect Internet user behavior anonymously.

RelevantKnowledge has partnered with Trees for the Future to plant trees for active members of our community. We will donate a tree on behalf of each panelist who remains active in the RelevantKnowlege panels for at least 90 days.
